Conveyor Line Upgrade: From Danfoss VLT 5000 to Danfoss iC2
An upgrade to the drives on a conveyor line: replacing the previous Danfoss VLT 5000 inverters, now discontinued, with new Danfoss iC2 inverters. The project was designed to modernize the motor control system and support the continued development of the installation.
The photographs show the transition between the two generations of inverters within the existing electrical panels. Replacing the drives is the key element of this conveyor line upgrade, with the aim of simplifying future maintenance and addressing the challenges associated with discontinued components.
Teamwork to Upgrade a Bottling Line
Upgrading a bottling line starts with teamwork. In September, the Agortek team worked together on the replacement of machines and conveyors, focusing on on-site discussion and coordination throughout the project.
Replacing machines and transport systems means looking at the line as a whole: the available space, the connections between its different sections and the product flow. Collaboration among everyone involved is essential to address each stage of the work and integrate the new equipment into the plant layout.
A project that highlights the value of technical expertise, communication and teamwork: essential elements in upgrading production lines and meeting customer requirements.

Conveyor Line Revamping with Siemens LOGO! PLC
A revamping of the control system for a conveyor line was carried out, replacing the previous control system with a new Siemens LOGO! PLC. The work was performed to simplify line management, upgrade the control system and make the electrical panel more organized and functional.
The first phase of the work involved the removal of electrical wiring that was no longer required and the removal of devices that were no longer in use. The new wiring was then installed, preparing the connections required for the new control logic and PLC integration.
Once the electrical work was completed, the Siemens LOGO! PLC was installed and programmed to manage the conveyor line. New photoelectric sensors were also added to detect the passage and presence of products and automatically control conveyor operation according to the line’s operating conditions.
Upon completion of the work, electrical and functional testing of the system was carried out, checking the connections, signals, control logic and correct operation of the installed devices. The system was then tested during production, confirming the correct operation of the new conveyor line control system under actual operating conditions.
